Job summary

Amentum in Dearborn, Michigan, is seeking Bread Board Technicians to join our automotive test facility. If you have hands-on automotive experience and a passion to learn automotive testing, you will thrive in our team.

You will assemble electrical instrumentation, fabricate breadboards, troubleshoot issues, and use scopes/meters to verify systems per drawings. We offer full benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Hands-on automotive knowledge and interest in learning automotive testing.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and soldering skills.
Knowledge of CAN bus and vehicle communication tools is preferred.
Instrumentation background with ability to build cables/connectors.
CAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks preferred; Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Install and assemble electrical instrumentation, modules, sensors, and power supplies.
Fabricate breadboards and prepare test-ready assemblies.
Troubleshoot breadboard issues and provide customer support.
Use oscilloscopes, meters, and logic analyzers to diagnose electrical issues.
Design and verify test fixtures and harnesses to client specs.
Develop new test fixtures/loads to simulate vehicle components.
