Job summary

InPwr, Inc. is seeking a BIM Modeler to join our team in Indianapolis. The role focuses on producing electrical drawings for permit and construction, coordinating with engineers and field teams, and maintaining BIM standards across projects.

You will work with AutoCAD and Revit, among other tools, to develop precise designs while ensuring NEC clearance and project specifications are met. A collaborative, office-based environment supports professional growth and steady project activity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in CAD Electrical design or electrical construction.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and interested in electrical design field.
• Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, SKM, etc.
• Ability to work in an office environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices is a plus.
• Experience with project management software.

Responsibilities

• Design for permit and for construction drawings using CAD or other tools.
• Create and manage project/design folders and develop accurate designs.
• Review supplier drawings and integrate into design to meet NEC clearance requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and field installation teams for installation details.
• Set up CAD operation system and SOP development input.
• Prepare as-built drawings from field red lines and obtain approvals.
• Support BIM implementation and coordination with project team.
• Maintain plotting processes and assist with design upgrades.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, contractors, and architects.
