Job summary

Cache Valley Electric in Salt Lake City seeks a BIM Engineer to create and maintain detailed 3D models for electrical construction projects, enabling prefabrication and on-site construction.

You will collaborate with project leadership, coordinate with general and sub-contractors, produce shop drawings and installation details, visit project sites, ensure standards compliance, and mentor teammates in BIM/VDC processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with drafting and 3D modeling procedures.
• Familiarity with Revit families.
• Ability to coordinate with field personnel and contractors.
• Experience with prefabrication and VDC processes.

Responsibilities

• Create/maintain 3D models using Revit for electrical projects.
• Create/shop drawings and installation details for prefabrication.
• Coordinate 3D models with general and subcontractors to mitigate clashes.
• Attend design/coordination meetings and internal project meetings.
• Follow standards and procedures for deliverables and organize file formats (DWG, RVT, PDF, NWC).
• Visit sites when needed to ensure accuracy and timely submissions.
