Electrical BIM Engineer (Atlanta, Georgia) Position Overview
Our client is seeking an Electrical BIM Engineer (Atlanta, Georgia) for an electrical contractor specializing in hyperscale data center construction. This position provides technical leadership for electrical BIM coordination, helping translate project designs into coordinated, constructible models that support prefabrication and field installation.
- Lead electrical BIM coordination for power distribution, equipment layouts, conduit routing, grounding, and related systems.
- Review drawings, specifications, and models to identify design conflicts, clearance issues, and installation challenges.
- Develop technical solutions with project managers, field leadership, and the engineer of record; prepare RFIs as needed.
- Participate in coordination meetings with general contractors, design teams, and other trades to resolve clashes.
- Review model accuracy and support detailing, prefabrication, and construction schedules.
- Experience in electrical BIM/VDC coordination for an electrical contractor.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction, power distribution systems, and applicable NEC requirements.
- Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Data center, mission-critical, or large commercial/industrial project experience preferred.
- Degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
