Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a CAD Tech in Las Vegas to perform BIM detailing for power systems and building infrastructure. You will interpret diagrams, model electrical systems in VDC, and create shop drawings for field use.

Regular site visits may be required as you coordinate with VDC staff to ensure installation methods meet project requirements. Qualifications include a degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or relevant field experience, plus knowledge of

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or field experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in Electrical/Power Systems is preferred.
• Excellent oral, prioritization and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Autodesk production software: Revit, Navisworks, APL and BIM 360.
• Must pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Interpret single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Rough book edits and coordination.
• Regular field site visits with potential project-site assignment.
• Coordinate with VDC Coordinators and VDC Manager to understand installation methods.
• Provide top service to Operations teams with clear communication.
• Model electrical systems in VDC (lighting, gear, pathways).
• Create shop drawings for field delivery.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and adhere to project workflow.
• Utilize VDC software to coordinate between disciplines.
