Job summary

Siteworker in Apopka, FL is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer/Detailer (BIM) to support large commercial construction projects. You will model electrical systems, create coordination drawings, and produce construction-ready drawings for prefabrication and field execution.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of experience, strong Revit (Electrical) skills, and a solid understanding of NEC and local codes. This is an in-office role supporting large-scale commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Designer and/or Electrical BIM Detailer on commercial construction projects.
• High proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Electrical).
• Complete understanding of NEC and an ability to quickly assess, confirm, and incorporate local electrical codes.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation practices.
• Ability to interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection workflows.
• Experience with large-scale commercial, healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail electrical systems using Autodesk Revit for large commercial projects.
• Develop coordinated BIM models, layout drawings, and electrical shop drawings for prefabrication.
• Perform electrical system layouts for power, lighting, and related systems based on contract documents and project requirements.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection trades.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
• Support constructability reviews, prefabrication efforts, and installation sequencing.
• Maintain model and drawing accuracy throughout the construction lifecycle, including revisions from RFIs and field changes.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, NEC requirements, and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field leadership.
