Job summary

Engineering Recruiting Experts is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead the installation, modification, and startup of production and automation equipment at manufacturing sites in the U.S. and abroad.

This role requires directing trades teams, ensuring safety, setting up and debugging equipment, maintaining drawings, and coordinating material procurement with travel up to 50% and up to 100% during deployment phases, including international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years installing and commissioning production and PLC-based automation equipment.
• 2+ years with 480VAC and below power systems in manufacturing.
• Experience leading contractors.
• Machine controls setup: analog/digital I/O, control sequence logic, fail-safe states.
• Strong ability to read electrical drawings and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Hands-on skill with tools, instruments and measurement devices.
• Travel up to 50%, up to 100% during deployment phases, occasional international travel.
• U.S. citizens and permanent residents only; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and automation installation, debugging, troubleshooting and startup.
• Direct trades teams and contractors with a strong focus on safety.
• Set up and debug equipment before handoff to operations.
• Maintain installation drawings, checklists and parts lists.
• Procure and expedite materials for equipment builds.
