Job summary

Salas O’Brien is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for industrial and utility projects, including PLC control, SCADA/HMI, and power distribution. You will work with a team to perform calculations, prepare datasheets, and ensure NEC compliance.

The role involves travel up to 20% to client locations across the United States and collaboration with engineers, project managers, and vendors to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of electrical systems design experience for industrial/manufacturing facilities and utility spaces.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation and controls; PLCs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of electrical systems including PLC control, SCADA/HMI, and distribution.
• Perform NEC/ NFPA70-compliant calculations and specs.
• Prepare instrumentation datasheets and maintain lists.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients through reviews.
