Job summary
Creative Engineers Inc. is hiring an Electrical/Automation Engineer to design and build PLC systems and related controls to meet customer needs. You will contribute to electrical and automation solutions across process facilities.
Responsibilities include programming PLCs/HMI, drafting control panels, and creating P&IDs, selecting instrumentation, and coordinating with vendors. Travel to customer sites will be about 10%.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical or Control Engineering or Electrical Mechanics.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in chemical plant design, or factory automation; ten years of experience preferred.
- Willing to spend 10% of time travelling to customer sites
- Independent and self-motivated
Responsibilities
- Program PLCs and other control systems.
- Design and draw control panels, automation systems, and electrical systems.
- Develops Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Specify process instrumentation and review detailed specifications.
- Collaborate with vendors to purchase equipment.
- Ensure compliance with US National Electrical Code (NEC) for hazardous locations.
- Wire up and build Electrical Panels
- Commission and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Assist in proposal preparation, purchasing, and expediting.
- Interface with customers and contractors.
- Operate chemical systems.
