Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a mid-level Engineer, Consultant, or O&M Specialist to develop and perform electrical assessments of facility assets. You will provide technical support for equipment located at water, wastewater, substations, and power facilities, while supporting estimating and other services as needed.

You will join a global leader in infrastructure with a focus on asset management and performance optimization across utility projects, with hybrid/flexible work options

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
• 4+ years in a business/consulting environment.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may apply (background check, drug screen, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop onsite inspection plans to assess electrical equipment such as transformers, MCCs, generators, and rotating mechanical equipment.
• Perform deenergized tests such as vibration and thermography.
• Provide technical support and oversight for third-party contractors performing energized assessment work.
• Review and evaluate electrical test results and prepare clear repair, replacement, and maintenance recommendations.
• Safely plan and manage field-based asset inspection and performance evaluations.
• Manage the structuring, storage and utilization of asset data and information.
• Analyze reliability, functionality, and maintainability and communicate findings in reports.
• Assist with Reliability Centered Maintenance programs and maintenance plan development.
• Develop reports, presentations, and Technical Memorandums.
• Collaborate with clients and support project teams in meetings and workshops.
