Texwrap is excited to have an Electrical Assembly Technician join our team! In this role, you’ll build control panels, install field wiring, and troubleshoot systems to manufacture automated packaging line equipment and systems. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing company in a thriving industry.

Are you excited about this work?

  • Ability to read electrical drawings, including understanding of low voltage (PLC inputs, outputs) and high-voltage circuitry, symbols, and power. Must understand safe practices when dealing with electricity.
  • Build electrical control panels by reading and understanding Electrical Engineering drawings, understanding dimensions, and knowledge of electricity and safety practices for high-voltage systems. Experience with AC motors, motor starters, disconnects, and PLC I/O wiring required.
  • Terminate panels by wiring all low and high-voltage connections back to main panels or junction boxes.
  • Install field wiring, mounting sensors (proximity, photo eye, laser through beam, reed switches), industrial cameras, barcode readers, light towers, and safety circuits.
  • Troubleshoot systems using various tools and instruments to identify and fix electrical issues.
  • Redline electrical prints by identifying and documenting errors, wiring systems correctly, and updating drawings for engineers.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by management.
  • Assist in mechanical assembly as needed.

  • Ability to read and interpret Electrical Engineering drawings (high and low voltage) and BOMs.

  • Proficiency with calculators and computers.
