Responsibilities


  • Electrical presorting conveyor assemblies.

  • Connect electrical wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.

  • Cut wire to specified lengths and routes, combs, twists, wraps, ties, and attaches wire to terminal points.

  • Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, and reassembles as required.

  • Performs tasks that require knowledge of a combination of processes, operations, and equipment.

  • Duties may consist of but are not limited to, working from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce electrical or electromechanical subassemblies.

  • Frequently required to use fine motor skills, assembling some small parts with excellent dexterity.

  • Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods.

  • Identifies and reports problems to the group lead or manager.

  • Perform 5S activities, maintain and improve work area order and cleanliness.

  • Access and follow drawings from the computer system.

  • Perform work safely and healthily.

  • Actively participate in cell meetings to understand instruction, customer and production needs, quality challenges as well as other key issues.

  • Identify and communicate ideas to cell leaders that support improving the cells.

  • Performance and the elimination of waste.

  • Scan on and off of jobs.

  • Use the cell’s visual boards as a means for communicating challenges, as well as receiving information on KPI.

  • Participate in kaizen and other cell improvement teams.

  • Display professional conduct with customers and coworkers.

  • Attending company meetings as required.

  • Knowledge of all duties will be cross-functional but specific duties may be assigned.


Qualifications


  • Two plus years of hands‑on electrical experience or an Associate in Electronics required.

  • Hand tools are provided by NPI as well as specific on‑the‑job training.

  • Must be able to read work instructions, assembly drawings, and schematics.

  • Willing and able to work overtime as required.

  • Possess problem‑solving capabilities.

  • Must be detail‑oriented and able to multitask.

  • Maintain composure in a fast‑paced, stressful environment.

  • Mission‑focused with a sense of urgency when required.

  • Must have a positive attitude and foster a continuous improvement environment.

  • Ability to work well with others.
