Job summary

Legrand in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Assembler to join the OCL Team. You will assemble, test and modify electrical components using blueprints and schematics, employing various machines and adhesives to complete light fixtures.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, aligning parts, routing cables, installing components, inspecting for defects, and verifying operation through testing. A high school diploma and manufacturing exposure are expected, with strong manual dexterity and teamwork

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; trade school required.
Six months of manufacturing experience or training or equivalent.
Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to work independently and prioritize under deadlines.
Regular attendance required; ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings; follow verbal instructions.
Align and assemble parts such as leads, coils, wires, tabs and terminals into housing.
Route and lace cables; install components and parts on panels and units.
Connect wires and connectors to form circuitry and power sources.
Inspect parts for defects visually and functionally; test units to verify operation.
Replace defective components and wiring.
Assemble and calibrate fixtures according to specifications.
