JBT Marel Corporation is seeking an Electrical Assembler to join our on-site team in Russellville, AR. You will assemble, wire, and test electrical components for industrial food processing equipment, following blueprints and safety standards.

Qualified candidates have an associate degree in electrical or electro-mechanical technology and at least 2 years of related experience, plus strong reading of wiring diagrams and proficiency with common test equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electrical or electro-mechanical technology or equivalent work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical theory, meters and test equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of bill of materials.
• Wiring skills for high (480v) and low (24v) voltage.
• Ability to troubleshoot control circuits in electrical panels.
• Meet safety, production and quality requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications, tracking software (Syteline, Shop-trak), PLC software downloading, and basic networking.
• Mechanical ability with hand tools.
• Good oral and written communication; safety and detail oriented.
• At least 2 years related experience with similar tools and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Reads work orders, bills of materials, blueprints, schematics and other instructions to determine best assembly method.
• Verifies and gathers parts, tools and measuring devices needed for assembly.
• Assembles, wires, and solders electronic components according to specifications.
• 50% Performs bench and/or machine wiring of panels from electrical documentation.
• 20% Tests equipment operation and software; uses computer applications to monitor time and assignments.
• 20% Applies mechanical aptitude to perform mechanical assembly and hydraulic/pneumatic piping.
• 10% Communicates effectively within a team; follows oral and written instructions.
• 10% Maintains safety, cleanliness and proper waste disposal; performs preventative maintenance as required.
• 10% Performs other duties as assigned.
