Job summary

BW Papersystems is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler / Electrician to join our team in Baltimore, MD. You will read wiring diagrams, assemble electrical components, and assist in testing and troubleshooting large, custom-built machinery.

The role requires 3+ years of electrical wiring or an equivalent 2-year degree with related experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible assemblers.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, specifications and work orders.
• Assemble and install electrical components and subassemblies.
• Inspect wiring for coding accuracy, termination, continuity; identify shorts/grounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders.
• Assemble and install electrical components, wiring, subassemblies, and support structures.
• Label, wire, and connect switch boxes and control panel terminal boards.
• Inspect wiring for coding accuracy, proper termination, continuity, and shorts/grounds.
• Assist in testing completed machines and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Document work to meet quality and production requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve quality, cost, or production challenges.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper care of tools & equipment.
• Multi-task and shift priorities as needed.
