Summary/Objective
The Electrical Assembler constructs electronic components, subassemblies, products, and software/hardware systems for machines.
Essential Functions
- Assembles all electrical components on machines/enclosure panels, wiring and labeling according to schematics.
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit boards or routes and connects wires between components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Assists in testing, inspection, and quality review of finished machines to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Debugs electrical functions of the machine and tests according to the sequence of operation.
- Collaborates with engineers and production staff to resolve electrical assembly issues.

Work Environment
- May experience loud noise levels on the assembly floor.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
Physical Demands
- Stands on a cement floor for up to 8 hours a day.
- Occasionally lifts or moves items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently positions self to kneel, crouch, or stoop during work.
- Occasionally works at high, precarious places.
- Uses basic tools and manipulates controls on machines regularly.
- Interprets drawings effectively.
Minimum Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
Preferred Education & Experience
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
- 2-year vocational certification.
