Job summary

AeroVect in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Senior or Staff Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture and vehicle integration systems for our autonomous tractor platform. You will lead harness design, power distribution, CAN topology, sensor wiring and grounding strategies while coordinating with software and field teams.

You will drive fault analysis, root cause investigations, and set electrical standards across the fleet.

Qualifications

5+ years in hardware-centric electrical engineering (automotive/robotics/aerospace/industrial).
Expertise in harness design, power distribution, CAN bus, grounding and EMC practices.
Ability to read/create complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

Own electrical architecture end-to-end for autonomous tractor platform, including harness design and schematics.
Lead root cause analysis on faults across the deployed fleet and translate findings into design improvements.
Define acceptance criteria and procedures for electrical bring-up and validation of new platforms.
Collaborate with software and autonomy teams on hardware bring-up and sensor calibration.
Coordinate with external harness vendors and contract manufacturers to specify and qualify assemblies.
Establish electrical design standards, labeling, and documentation for internal and field teams.
Influence next-generation platform architecture with emphasis on high-voltage systems and compute integration.
