Job summary

InPwr, Inc. seeks an Electrical Apprentice (Water and Wastewater Division) to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems under supervision.

This role blends hands-on field work with formal apprenticeship training, fostering progression toward Journeyman status. Applicants should have a HS diploma/GED and completion of an approved apprenticeship; ability to read blueprints; valid driver’s license; willing to work in Indianapolis

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and electrical code specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit and wiring.
• Troubleshoot electrical failures and perform preventative maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Assist with installing motors, transformers, generators, controls, and electrical distribution systems.
• Build and assemble control panels and controllers.
• Test electrical systems and equipment for proper operation.
• Organize materials, maintain tools, and ensure job site safety.
• Support Journeyman Electricians on commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare for and obtain Journeyman licensing.
