Job summary

Knobelsdorff Enterprises in Wisconsin is seeking an apprentice Electrician to support PV string wiring, DC/AC feeders, and module installation on cutting-edge solar projects. You will learn from leaders while contributing to real installs, read drawings, and use hand and power tools.

This entry role offers hands-on training in electrical testing, safety planning, and reporting in KE’s software systems. Enrollment in KE Apprenticeship Program is required; willing to travel up to 100% and pass

Qualifications

• Enrollment and good standing in the KE Apprenticeship Program.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pulling wire for PV string, DC, and AC feeder systems.
• Complete plug-and-play module connections and manage module leads.
• Perform DC terminations and label wiring for string wire, combiners, and inverters.
• Support AC terminations at inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
• Assist in electrical testing: insulation resistance and voltage tests.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installs.
• Use hand and power tools to install racking and modules per design.
• Participate in daily safety and work planning meetings.
• Complete tasks using KE’s internal software systems for reporting and documentation.
• Learn from leadership and ask questions to gain a full understanding of assignments.
• Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding issues or deviations from scope.
