Job summary

J&L Electric is seeking an Experienced Electrical Apprentice to support commercial and industrial power projects in Battle Creek, MI. You will work hands-on with seasoned journey men to deliver reliable electrical installations on growing commercial and industrial sites.

You will develop high-level skills while contributing to project success, safety, and timely completion. The company emphasizes family-like culture and ongoing personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on electrical experience, preferably with an electrical contractor.
• Demonstrated experience working on commercial and/or industrial electrical projects.
• Practical experience bending conduit and performing daily field installations.
• Strong willingness to engage in continuous learning and mentor-guided technical training.
• Valid driver’s license and the physical ability to perform site labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Bend conduit accurately and perform hands-on electrical installations according to project specifications.
• Assist Journeyman Electricians with physical work on commercial and industrial project sites.
• Execute daily wiring, rough-in, and trim-out assignments safely and efficiently.
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics to support site layout and equipment placement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to strict safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with site leadership to keep projects moving on schedule.
