Job summary

TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of St Engineering, is hiring a full-time Electrical Technician I in Tampa or Orlando, Florida. This entry-level apprentice position trains you to install and maintain commercial electrical systems and telecommunications wiring under a journeyman's supervision.

You will learn to work safely according to the National Electric Code and local codes, with hands-on duties across wiring, conduit, grounding, and panel construction.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 0-2 years of general work experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of vocational, technical, trade school, or electrical training coursework preferred.
• Employment is contingent upon pre-employment screenings (background check, drug screening, MVR, etc.).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled labor related to installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
