Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies invites applicants for an Electrical Apprentice 3 on the Crusoe project. Shadow and assist a journeyman electrician, learn to read blueprints, diagnose electrical issues, and support installation and maintenance of wiring and control systems.

Minimum qualifications require 2–3 years of electrician experience, pre-employment onboarding, and compliance with NEC standards. NCCER credentials are preferred. Safety is a core priority on this safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Experience as an electrician's helper or apprentice preferred.
• Must understand and follow directions and safety protocols.
• At least 18 years of age and able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist a journeyman electrician and follow instructions.
• Learn to use hand and power tools to assist electrician in wiring, drilling, cutting, and bending.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies organized; disassemble and repair equipment as needed.
• Load, transport, unload, and furnish materials, tools, and supplies to the electrician.
• Keep the work area clean and restock supplies.
• Support installation of related items per plans and specifications; perform other routine duties as directed.
• Participate in safety processes to achieve zero injuries and report hazards.
