Job summary

T5Datacenters in Midlothian, Texas is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to perform essential electrical maintenance and repair duties. Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience and formal training in the trade.

This role involves lighting PMs, battery PMs, and supporting electrical projects. Physical capability to meet demands and follow safety protocols is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the trade.
• Formal training in approved vocational schools in the fundamentals of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Perform apprentice-level electrical duties in diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Conduct lighting and battery preventive maintenance.
• Assist in rack moves, deployments, and decommissioning.
• Repair security gates and test inverters on battery backups.
• Schedule team tasks and requisition materials.
• Install and retrofit receptacle panels.
• Validate and actuate MTS boards.
• Support electrical projects and handle high priority work related to cooling.

Job Responsibilities

• The Electrical Apprentice will be responsible for performing apprentice-level electrical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
• Lighting PMs
• Battery PMs
• Rack moves, deployments, and decommissioning
• Security gate repair
• Inverter testing on battery backups for lights
• Team scheduling and material requisition
• Receptacle panel installations and retrofits
• MTS board validations, actuation, and installation
• Electrical Panel Schedules
• Spill Prevention kits for Generators, Substations, etc.
• Heat trace annual testing and installation/retrofits
• Electrical project support
• Nonscheduled, high priority work; Usually DC floor related issues related to cooling

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the trade
• Formal training in approved vocational schools in the fundamentals of the trade
