Job summary

Heartland Home Services in Michigan seeks an electrician helper to install, repair, and maintain wiring, lighting, and control systems in residential or commercial settings.

You will read blueprints and schematics, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with journeyman and master electricians, developing troubleshooting skills on the job. On-the-job training and hands-on projects are provided in a team-oriented environment.

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing their needs, concerns, and expectations professionally.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, taking direction well and support team efforts to complete projects on time.
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards set by the company.
• Assist journeyman and master electricians with installing, repairing, and maintain electrical systems.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to assist in accurate electrical system installations.
• Install, repair, and maintain wiring, lighting, and control systems in residential or commercial settings.
• Develop troubleshooting skills to diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations in every task performed.
• Maintain and organize tools, materials, and equipment on the job site to promote a safe and efficient workspace.
• Actively participate in on-the-job training and classes to build technical skills and industry knowledge.
• Demonstrate initiative and adaptability, performing additional duties as assigned to support the team.
