KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Quality Inspector for on-site work in the Permian Basin, Odessa, TX. The role focuses on inspecting E&I installations, validating test records, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and codes.

You will coordinate with field crews, subs, and client reps, manage punch lists, and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation to support system turnover and project closeout.

Qualificações

• At least 5 years of experience as an E&I Project Quality Inspector.
• Experience inspecting electrical and instrumentation work on oilfield plant, facility, or industrial construction projects.
• Quality control experience representing a construction contractor.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NETA, IEEE, and NEMA VE 2.
• Experience managing project quality records, inspection documentation, and turnover packages.
• Ability to review and interpret project drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and testing requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform in-process E&I inspections to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, quality procedures, and applicable codes.
• Implement the approved Quality Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and coordinate required inspections, client witness activities, and hold-point documentation.
• Review project documents and drawings to confirm quality requirements are incorporated into field work practices.
• Verify that personnel hold the required certifications for their assigned work.
• Coordinate and oversee third-party inspections and testing; review resulting reports for compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct system completion walkdowns, identify deficiencies, and maintain punch lists through resolution.
• Report quality concerns and discrepancies promptly to the Project Manager and Division Quality Manager.
• Provide weekly updates on inspection activities, completion status, and outstanding punch-list items to the Project E&I QC Lead or Project Manager.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation throughout construction.
• Compile and review project turnover books to support system completion and handover.
• Provide field guidance on quality requirements and work collaboratively with client representatives, project management, construction leadership, and subcontractors.
• Verify that third-party inspection and testing personnel follow applicable safety, environmental, and health requirements.

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Quality Inspector

Pay: $58-60.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, on-site

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Quality Inspector to support industrial construction projects in the Permian Basin.

In this role, you will inspect electrical and instrumentation installations, verify testing and documentation, and help ensure completed work meets approved drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and applicable codes. You will work closely with field crews, project leadership, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues and support system completion and turnover.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, including NEC, NETA, IEEE, and NEMA VE 2.
• Experience managing project quality records, inspection documentation, and turnover packages.
• Ability to review and interpret project drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and testing requirements.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary field teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, and report-writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to meet required background screening and drug testing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• NCCER certification.
• Additional experience with spreadsheet and database applications.
