Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an experienced E&I Quality Control Inspector to support industrial construction projects in West Texas, including oil and energy sectors.

You will perform inspections, verify conformity to drawings and specs, and coordinate with management, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure first-time quality. Preferred certifications: ICC, NACE, OSHA 30.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of industrial construction QA/QC experience.
• Experience supporting EPC or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, Isometric drawings, IFC drawings, Structural drawings, Electrical one-line diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, in-process, and final inspections of construction activities.
• Verify work against drawings, specifications, approved Quality Inspection Test Plans, and project requirements.
• Conduct equipment inspections, walkdowns, and system turnover reviews.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and participate in pre-installation, pre-task planning, and quality meetings.
• Coordinate owner inspections, hold points, third-party inspections, and quality-control activities with engineering and project teams.
• Complete daily inspection reports, maintain inspection logs, and prepare punch lists.
• Track Non-Conformance Reports, corrective actions, inspection findings, and closeout items through resolution.
• Maintain accurate quality records and support turnover packages, commissioning, and final acceptance activities.
• Identify quality concerns early and communicate issues to construction leadership, engineering, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Promote a strong quality and safety culture throughout the project.

E&I Quality Control Inspector – Industrial Construction

Location: West Texas

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced E&I Quality Control Inspector to support industrial, oil and gas, energy, and data center construction projects throughout West Texas.

The Quality Control Inspector will ensure construction activities comply with contract documents, engineering specifications, client requirements, approved inspection plans, and applicable industry codes. This position works closely with construction management, project engineers, superintendents, client representatives, subcontractors, and craft professionals to ensure work is completed correctly the first time.
