Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair power plant equipment, including boilers and related electrical/control gear, field controllers, instrumentation, MCCs, and switchgear.

The role covers calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing, with focus on CEMS, DCS, and historian devices. Candidates must have a safety-conscious mindset and be able to work in 12-hour rotating shifts in Kapolei, Hawaii.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Experience with electrical and instrumentation maintenance of power plant equipment is desirable.
• Familiarity with calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and testing of low/medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, starters, and transformers.
• Maintain higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine generators.
• Troubleshoot and repair CEMS, DCS, and historian devices; calibrate and test instrumentation.

Apply today!About the roleSign on bonus eligible!As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will work safely to maintain, diagnose, and repair various types of power plant equipment, this includes maintenance related to: boilers and its associated electrical and control equipment, repair and operation of field controllers, instrumentation, motor control centers and other power plant electrical equipment ranging from 120V to 13.8kv, and AC switchgear.Position Responsibilities:Perform maintenance and testing of low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.Perform maintenance of higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine driven generators.Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste boilers and its associated equipment, including but not limited to, pumps, fans, motors, conveyors & refuse cranes.Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste air pollution control systems.Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, adjust, and make repairs as needed to the Continuous Emissions Motoring System (CEMS) as well as all facility flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation, which includes but is not limited to, transmitter flow devices, level controls, temperature measurement, and flue gas analysis equipment.Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, and adjust, and make repairs, as needed to the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and historian devices.Perform preventative maintenance tasks, which include but are not limited to, routine calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.Operate various calibration equipment and perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repair work as assigned using proper Reworld safety practices.Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems and complete all maintenance work records.Actively participate in plant shutdown work including teardown inspection of electrical plant equipment.Maintain work area and tools in clean and orderly manner as well as performing plant and shop housekeeping chores.Complete Reworld safety, compliance, and other required training / certification within the assigned timelines.Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the E&I management team.Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentFormal technical or apprentice training, preferredMust be able to work 12 hour rotating shiftTotal Rewards & Compensation:Competitive Base SalaryDay one employee benefits: competitive health insurance options, PTO, retirement savings plan and 401K matchPhysical Demands of the Role:Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climbAbility to lift/carry 50lbsAbility to work from heights and in confined spacesQualify to wear a full-face respiratorConsistently work in various weather conditionsAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.Please note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
