Now Hiring: Electrical and Controls Technician

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for automation and innovation? We’re looking for an experienced Electrical and Controls Technician to join our dynamic team! In this hands-on role, you'll be the go-to expert for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge automated control systems across our industrial machinery and processes.

You’ll work at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, and software systems—ensuring our operations run safely, efficiently, and smoothly. If you thrive on solving complex problems and love working in a collaborative, high-performance environment, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:

  1. Design and program PLCs to control machinery operations, safety interlocks, and data acquisition
  2. Interpret and work from detailed electrical schematics
  3. Set up and configure automated manufacturing cells based on layout and specifications
  4. Install and wire control systems, configure communication networks
  5. Ensure all systems meet safety and compliance standards
  6. Perform testing, debugging, and optimization of control systems to maximize efficiency and reliability
  7. Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues in automation equipment
  8. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and improve control system architecture
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to production and maintenance teams

What You Bring:

  1. Associate degree in Controls Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a Controls Technician or equivalent role
  3. Proficiency in writing/configuring PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  4. Strong experience with automation components: HMIs, sensors, actuators, servomotors, and vision systems
  5. Deep understanding of control theory, system design, and troubleshooting practices
  6. Experience implementing and maintaining industrial safety standards
  7. Solid communication and documentation skills
  8. A team-first attitude and a proactive problem-solving mindset

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
