Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Electrical and Controls Engineer who desires to contribute to our client's success and seeks new learning experiences. This position will be based at our client location in Battle Creek, MI.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide electrical hardware and software design support for industrial projects.
2. Develop or assist with the creation of design packages for bid and construction.
3. Coordinate and execute electrical design and programming of Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI, VFD, and Servo motion projects through construction and start-up phases.
4. Assist with electrical engineering and drawing efforts as needed.
5. Assist with the creation of project documentation including schedules, specifications, and cost estimates.
6. Produce high-quality project deliverables while working in a collaborative team environment.
7. Gather field data and provide installation, start-up, and troubleshooting support.
8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Respond to and support client/project requests for ongoing controls troubleshooting of production equipment, which may include nights and weekends.
10. Climb stairs/ladders and do field data gathering in hot environments.
11. Work around food products including, but not limited to, peanuts, wheat, and almonds.
12. Interface directly with clients.

Required Qualifications:

1. Two-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent technical experience.
2. Five years of relevant PLC/HMI programming experience in manufacturing environments, including troubleshooting complex projects.

Required Previous Experience with the Following:

1. Rockwell PLC5 and ControlLogix hardware applications.
2. VFDs and Inverter Duty Motor applications.
3. Electrical system design schematics and control panel identification/layout design.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
2. Proficient with AutoCAD.
3. Proficient with server-based HMI systems.

Preferred Previous Experience with the Following:

1. Ethernet and Ethernet/IP Networking.
2. Sensing technologies.
3. Control systems for process or packaging line integration, including case packing, metal detection, palletizing, pneumatic conveying, dust collection, ovens/cookers, and related equipment.
4. Vision inspection and barcode scanning.
