Position Overview

Are you a top Controls Technician ready for the next challenge? Trane, a global leader in HVAC and Building Automations, is seeking an ACES Controls Field Engineer to support our commercial clients. This role is open to candidates located anywhere in the Continental United States.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and assist Trane commercial and independent sales offices in building automation system design, programming, checkout, and commissioning, including hardware and software validation.
• Apply sound engineering principles to projects.
• Collaborate with project teams, including Project Managers, Controls Project Specialists, and Field Technicians.
• Design, test, and validate new, existing, and legacy products and systems.
• This role requires 75%+ travel within the U.S., with potential international travel.

Key Duties

• Configure, program, and commission complex building automation systems.
• Maintain installation and programming standards.
• Develop expertise in Trane controls and third-party devices.
• Provide remote support and guidance to field teams.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HVAC as a Controls Technician, Building Automation Specialist, or similar.
• Proficiency in HVAC and building automation systems.
• Experience with Trane or similar control systems preferred.
• 2+ year degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, with clean record.
• Ability to travel 75%+.

Compensation

Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000 annually, based on experience and location.

• Ability to operate a vehicle safely.
• Use of safety gear as required.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and working in confined spaces or at heights.
