Concentric Integration, a unit of Baxter & Woodman, is seeking an Electrical and Automation Design Engineer to design electrical power distribution and control systems for water and wastewater facilities. The role combines consulting engineering with integration design for municipal projects in Peoria or Chicago, IL.
You will produce one-line diagrams, plan drawings, panel layouts, and P&IDs, while supporting SCADA, PLC architecture, and instrumentation.

The Electrical and Automation Design Engineer is primarily responsible for the design of Water/Wastewater electrical power distribution and technology improvements for municipalities. E&A Design Engineer works in two capacities, Consulting Engineering and Integration Design.
Consulting engineering projects are in multidisciplinary teams to create design documents for process improvements at Water/Wastewater facilities. Design documents include Electrical site and building plans, Single‑line Diagrams, Lighting Plans, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), specifications, along with detailed control panel schematics, and other related documents.
Integration design projects are to support the integration efforts process improvements at Water/Wastewater facilities. The E&A Design Engineer will work with integrators and project managers to design control panels and instrumentation for fabrication/installation as part of construction projects or turn‑key projects.
The pay range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
