Electrical Analytical Engineer 1 (Entry-Level)

Position Overview

This position offers a hybrid schedule of in-office days and remote work.

As an Electrical Analytical Engineer, you will utilize and expand your academic background in Power Systems to provide modeling and analytical support for interdisciplinary projects. Your responsibilities include supporting the interconnection of new power generation resources such as wind, solar, batteries, and traditional thermal plants, as well as transmission and distribution planning, and designing new power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform studies including Power Flow, Short Circuit, Protection Coordination, Arc Flash, Transient and Dynamic Stability, Power Quality, and more.
  • Conduct electricity market studies and generation planning with load growth scenarios.
  • Travel to client sites for on-site consultation as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems; MSEE or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering applications and systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
  • Internship or work experience in power analysis.
  • Experience with power system software such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF, etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python.
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
Benefits and Compensation

Competitive salary range: $59,460 - $85,400, with comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits, including health plans, 401(k), tuition assistance, and flexible work arrangements.
