Job summary

GMRE is seeking an Electrical Aircraft Technician to perform maintenance and modifications on assigned aircraft using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and other test support equipment. This day-shift role may include per-diem eligibility under GSA standards and involves operational checks of all systems and LRUs.

Candidates must have five years of electrical experience on Fighter/Attack/Bomber aircraft, strong wiring and avionics modification skills, and the ability to interpret wiring

Qualifications

• Five years electrical experience in Fighter/Attack/Bomber aircraft maintenance as an electrician.
• Experience wiring, routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper, power, coaxial, shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET clearance.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems and related equipment.
• Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
• Interprets maintenance directives and applies procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.
