Job summary

GMRE is seeking an Electrical Aircraft Technician for the day shift to perform maintenance and modifications on aircraft electrical systems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and test equipment.

The role involves inspecting and installing LRUs, interpreting wiring diagrams, and ensuring compliance with maintenance directives. A minimum of five years of electrical experience on fighter aircraft (preferably F-16) and the ability to obtain a U.S. SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years total electrical experience on Fighter/Attack/Bomber aircraft (electrician).
• Experience with aircraft wiring and avionics modifications (routing/terminating Ethernet, copper, power, coax, shielded pairs).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems and LRUs.
• Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.
• Travel as needed for meetings, trainings, or site visits.
