Salary:

Welty Energy, an affiliate of Welty, is a professional services company specializing in program and project management, transmission line engineering, substation engineering, and construction oversight on transmission, substation, and distribution projects ranging in voltages from 4kV to 765kV.

Welty Energy is looking for a Project Manager to join our team! You will lead the project management team responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating activities related to engineering, design, procurement, and construction of major capital projects and programs. This role involves managing medium complexity projects and/or basic programs, making it pivotal to our success.

This position is remote with travel to client sites as required (15-20%). The ideal candidate should be based in the Erie, State College, Altoona, or Towanda area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Act as the primary point of contact with clients regarding project details.
• Implement safety and health programs, promoting safe work practices.
• Implement environmental programs, focusing on environmental protection in line with policies and regulations.
• Foster a client-centric culture to build trust and enhance stakeholder value.
• Review specifications, drawings, contracts, and construction documents for constructability and compliance with standards.
• Conduct project planning and status meetings to monitor schedules and budgets.
• Provide updates on project status to management teams.
• Oversee construction package reviews, pre-award meetings, and site visits.
• Serve as the main contact for construction submittals and document coordination.
• Manage outage planning and permit acquisition to prevent schedule conflicts.
• Mentor and train other project team members.
• Assist with coordination, reporting, and other tasks as needed.
• Promote safety leadership and conduct site safety inspections.
• Engage with stakeholders and manage client expectations.
• Adhere to project management principles for estimating, monitoring, and controlling project resources and schedules.
• Follow client-specific methods, processes, and policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant electric utility project management experience.
• At least three years of experience in project management or controls.
• Experience in electric utility project management.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective leadership and organizational abilities.
