Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Project Manager II to lead small to medium electric substation, transmission and distribution projects. You will be the single point of accountability for planning, executing and closing projects, managing scope, schedule, cost, safety and quality per PMBOK.

You will oversee client relationships, contract administration, risk and change control, and ensure accurate financials and reporting while coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the utility industry.
• Detailed knowledge of project management fundamentals.
• Proficient with MS Office including MS Project and/or Primavera.
• Strong written communications; ability to compose technical documents and invoices.
• Strong oral communications; capable of presenting to diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage project per Pike Engineering Policies and Procedures.
• Oversee client and project stakeholders; maintain trusted relationships.
• Handle contract negotiations, change orders, submittals and approvals.
• Establish systems to manage contracts including subcontractors.
• Implement change control and risk management processes.
• Oversee EH&S and Quality programs; ensure project compliance.
• Prepare estimates and proposals; run project meetings.
• Provide performance feedback to management and team.
