Job summary

IES is seeking an Electrical Service Technician in Nashville to perform electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work while upholding safety standards and customer satisfaction.

The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with teams, documenting work, and helping train junior technicians. A high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical service issues in residential, commercial, or operational environments.
• Review service requests, project plans, specifications, and work orders to support accurate job completion.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs, repairs, timelines, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding service activities and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and customer interactions.
• Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field.
• Monitor tools, equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Assist with supporting and training less experienced technicians as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
