Job summary

General Galactic is seeking an Electric Propulsion Test Engineer to join our Los Angeles-area team. You will test and diagnose electric propulsion hardware and vacuum GSE for our product suite, including Seldon and Dreadnought spacecraft vehicles, Genesis propulsion systems, and more.

You will have ownership over testing campaigns and robust documentation. This hands-on role requires experience with hall-effect thrusters, hollow cathodes, vacuum systems, and fast-paced startup environments, with

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on testing experience with propulsion hardware preferred.
• Experience with vacuum systems and pressurized components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test electric propulsion hardware including thruster and cathode components.
• Design and procure vacuum systems for propulsion testing.
• Analyze test results and diagnose issues.
• Build and repair propulsion hardware to iterate tests quickly.
• Create qualification and acceptance test plans and document results.
