Job summary

Dominion Energy's Mount Storm Power Station is seeking a motivated Operator Trainee to join this dynamic station. The successful candidate will monitor and ensure the safe and environmentally compliant operation of equipment used in the production of electricity during a 39-month developmental program.

This entry-level role requires a HS diploma/GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to safely operate and troubleshoot system equipment, including LOTO for maintenance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 0-2 years of experience and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to monitor and operate equipment safely and environmentally compliant.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, and monitor equipment used in electricity production.
• Perform daily routine operations and LOTO of equipment for maintenance and valve operations.
• Make entries into computer-based logbooks and perform basic troubleshooting of systems.
• Participate in a 39-month developmental training program with on-the-job training, classroom learning and tests.
