Carter Machinery is hiring an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Rental Technician in Chesapeake, Virginia. The role covers servicing, diagnosing, and repairing EPG rental equipment—including power, temperature control, air, pumps, and used equipment—at Carter facilities or customer sites.

Starting pay ranges from $26.46 to $38.81 per hour with a $2,000 sign-on bonus encouraging strong applicants. We seek team players with electrical knowledge, GT/GENSET experience, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting engine failures and repairing generator systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose, and repair EPG rental equipment at Carter or customer facilities.
• Operate with strong customer service and safety standards.
• Travel as needed to meet customer demands; work in the field when required.
