Hooper-Corporation is seeking an Estimator to join our Wisconsin-based team. The role focuses on estimating electric power projects, including T&D powerlines and substations, with responsibilities for bid schedules, take-offs, and subcontract pricing.

The candidate will maintain estimating systems, track bid results, and support department needs. Office environment with site visits; strong Excel and CAD/BIM understanding required.

Qualifications

• Two years technical education in engineering, construction management, or related apprenticeship.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook; CAD/BIM drawing understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop bid schedules with Department Head and procure plans for estimation.
• Prepare project estimates with detailed take-offs and pricing for materials, equipment, and subs.
• Update material pricing and labor rates to reflect market changes.
• Maintain estimating software and systems; support bid databases.
• Price change orders on large projects and evaluate bid results for future references.
• Provide general estimating support as needed by the department head.
• Attend departmental meetings and related functions.
