Job summary

Energy Management Corporation in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Electric Motor Mechanic to inspect, repair, and test AC and DC electro-mechanical equipment in our shop. You will work under the Service Center Manager and ensure incidents are addressed promptly and safely.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and at least two years of hands-on repair experience with motor components, electrical theory, and precision measuring tools. Strong reliability and physical stamina are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus two years of experience in repairing electro-mechanical equipment.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical labor.
• Familiarity with electrical theory and motor components is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows relevant work instructions and customer standards.
• Operates specialized repair and testing equipment.
• Performs dynamic balancing of rotors and armature assemblies; replaces/repairs mechanical parts.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ensures all completed work meets EMC quality requirements.
• Operates overhead cranes and a medium voltage test panel.
• Records time and documents critical information accurately.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety procedures.
• Provides assistance and on-the-job training for technician assistants and other mechanics.
