Job summary

ElectroCraft, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to run production equipment for electric motor components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform in-process inspections, follow detailed work instructions, and support quality standards to produce high-quality motors. This role requires lifting up to 25–35 lbs, standing for long periods, and may include shift work and overtime based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Read and follow written instructions and diagrams.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Preferred: manufacturing, assembly or production experience.
• Understanding of basic electrical principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and equipment used in electric motor production, including coil winding and stator winding machines.
• Set up and adjust machines based on work instructions and production schedules.
• Load laminations, wire, shafts, bearings, and other motor components into machines.
• Monitor machine performance and perform minor adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of motor components (stators, rotors, housings).
• Measure electrical and mechanical characteristics using gauges, calipers, micrometers, or basic test equipment.
• Identify defects such as damaged insulation or out-of-tolerance dimensions.
• Maintain production, quality, and test documentation.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE, lockout/tagout, and electrical safety guidelines.
• Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
