Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Portland, OR is seeking a Modification Technician to perform in-house modifications on electric motors and ensure timely delivery to customers. You will modify motors, inspect finished work, and hand off to shipping in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 2–4 years of related experience; familiarity with low/med voltage AC motors, SAP, and MS Office is preferred. Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with electrical motor modification and SAP preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Modify electric motors as per customer specification.
• Deliver finished product to designated shipping area.
• Processing of completed production orders and quality inspection sheets in SAP daily.
• Support the Mod Shop Lead in projects to achieve on time delivery goals.
• Perform tasks in a safe environment while using all necessary PPE.
• Complete daily equipment operation checklists.
• Complete daily cleaning assignments.
