Job summary

Energy Management Corporation (EMC) in Boise, Idaho seeks an Electric Motor Mechanic to join our shop team. You will repair AC and DC electro-mechanical equipment and operate testing tools, with field duties as needed.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, maintaining safety procedures, and supporting training for technicians. Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus two years of electro-mechanical repair experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to drive to customer sites and perform field work.
• Must stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Follows relevant work instructions and customer standards.
• Operates specialized repair and testing equipment.
• Carries out dynamic balance of rotor and armature assemblies and replaces/repairs mechanical parts.
• Regularly diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Oversees that all completed work meets EMC quality requirements.
• Operates overhead cranes and medium voltage test panel.
• Accurately records time on jobs and documents critical information.
• Completes paperwork accurately and on a timely basis.
• Operates forklifts (certified) and follows safety policies.
• Observes safety procedures and uses proper protective gear.
• Lifts, tightens, adjusts, and secures heavy objects.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Provides assistance and on-the-job training for Technician Assistants and all Mechanics.
• Willing to drive motor vehicles to and from customer sites.
• Can project manage occasional field work including removal and installation of serviced equipment.
