Louis Allis is growing, and we're looking for experienced **Electric Motor Mechanics / Industrial Motor Technicians** to join our team.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys mechanical work, troubleshooting, precision measurement, and seeing a repair through from teardown to final testing.

You'll work on industrial electric motors in a **clean, team-oriented shop** with the equipment and support needed to do quality work.

**Electric motor experience is preferred. [If applicable: Strong industrial mechanical experience will also be considered, and we can train the right candidate on motor-specific processes.]**

What You'll Do

• Disassemble and inspect industrial electric motors


• Determine repair needs and help identify causes of failure

• Dynamically balance rotors


• Perform winding and insulation testing


• Take vibration readings and perform laser alignments


• Perform final run testing on completed motors


• Document inspection results, measurements, and completed work


• Assist with fabrication and TIG welding as needed


• Prepare and paint completed motors


• Assist with field service at customer locations when needed


• Work with other members of the shop to complete repairs safely and on schedule

What We're Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on industrial experience


• Experience assembling and disassembling mechanical equipment


• Ability to accurately use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment


• Electric motor repair experience is a **strong plus**


• Experience with balancing, vibration analysis, alignment, welding, or electrical testing is a plus


• Ability to work safely around large industrial equipment


• Willingness to occasionally work overtime or weekends when needed


• Willingness to occasionally travel to customer locations for field service
