Job summary

Responsibilities include EM, thermal, and mechanical analyses with FEA/CFD tools, CAD modeling, and development of performance specs and validation tests. BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering required; strong motor design knowledge essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory and motor design principles.
• Understanding of winding techniques, lamination stacks, magnets and insulation.

Responsibilities

• Supports SME in sizing, design, mechanical drawings and testing of electric motors up to 70,000 rpm.
• Performs electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical analysis using simulation tools (FEA/CFD).
• Creates detailed CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Develops motor performance specifications and validation test plans; conducts performance testing (efficiency, torque, speed, thermal, vibration, noise).
• Analyzes and optimizes motor efficiency.
