Job summary

ABB is seeking an Assembly Builder to support the unit in achieving production targets. You will read technical diagrams, assemble motors and components, and perform quality checks on the shop floor. The role requires working onsite and lifting up to 50 lbs with PPE. Flexibility to work shifts and collaborate across departments is essential.

You will contribute to process improvements, maintain safety standards, and help ensure efficient production flow in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 6 months industrial manufacturing experience.
• Motor assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial electric motors and components, interpreting schematics to ensure proper insulation and functionality.
• Perform quality checks and functional testing, identify defects and assist with rework with QA/engineering.
• Operate assembly tools safely, maintain calibration, support production flow and line balancing.
• Track production data, follow SOPs and maintain a 5S workspace, contributing to process improvements.
