Zusammenfassung

ElectriCities of NC is seeking an intermediate line technician to install, maintain, and repair distribution lines and perform line clearance work. You will operate line trucks, bucket trucks, trenchers, and backhoes, and work on energized and de-energized systems under supervision.

The role requires climbing, heavy lifting, and extended hours with on-call duties, including exposure to extreme weather. A valid Class A CDL and Line Tech certification are desirable, with training provided as

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from high school or equivalent; two to five years in electric line construction is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical principles and safety standards.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and trucks.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor in adverse weather.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.

Aufgaben

• Operate and maintain line trucks and heavy equipment; keep equipment in good condition.
• Install, repair, and connect transformers, lines, and street lighting.
• Trims trees and participates in line clearance; assists with outages and repairs.
• Respond to service calls and perform on-call duties as required.
• Maintain records of work activities and ensure safety procedures.
