Job summary

Lewis County PUD is seeking a Line Superintendent to oversee and coordinate the district's line crews at the Chehalis and/or Morton locations. This role focuses on work assignment, scheduling, safety, and reliable operation of the electrical system.

The position requires leadership of up to 20 employees, experience with transmission and distribution operations, and a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; five years as an IBEW Journeyman Lineman or ten years in related utility operations
• CDL Class A required; First Aid/CPR certification
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word is expected
• Knowledge of distribution and transmission line construction and safety standards preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 line crew employees at the assigned headquarters
• Coordinate, schedule, inspect, and direct work with line crews
• Assist Operations Manager with staffing, tools, vehicles, and equipment planning
• Lead outage restoration efforts with Dispatch and field crews
• Plan maintenance work and coordinate customer communications and temporary interruptions
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and district procedures
• Coordinate with Tree Supervisor on vegetation management programs
• Conduct audits and reporting for compliance and performance
• Oversee 230kV transmission line inspections with Engineering
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and maintain service reliability
